For the past 5 years the members of Christ Church, Lively have volunteered to provide breakfast for the participants at the Walden Winter Carnival (Feb 11,12 this year).  Once again we are putting together a team of energetic and helpful people to serve the close to 700 breakfasts that are usual over the two day span. Openings are still available for people to join the team that begins its work before 8 am on the 11th and 12th and works until about 11 am.  One hour shifts are arranged for those who can't stay for the entire morning and include jobs such as table cleaning, serving, preparing food, cooking food, washing dishes, and restocking the coffee/tea station.  If you would like to volunteer for this fun and hectic adventure simply contact the Church office at 705-692-3344 and leave a message and the organizing team will be in touch with you.  It promises to be another fun time.  Any proceeds that are raised after expenses have been paid are distributed to the Scouts and Guides in Walden as well as the Friendship Group that meets at the Kinsmen Hall.  For more information please contact the Church.
